Redneck Yard Contest

Tuesday March 15, 2005
It's not often that the name, "Jeff Foxworthy" is associated with landscaping. But if someone you know has a "redneck yard," it could wind up being featured on TV with Jeff Foxworthy! You know the type: where the owner's idea of landscaping consists of two tires flanking the driveway, housing weeds as tall as small trees. Well, it "could be Blue Collar TV's 'Redneck Yard of the Week'," says the official Web site for the Redneck Yard contest. Just read the rules and send a photo of a redneck yard with the application forms available on their Web site. The "Redneck Yard" contest ends May 15.

Sorry for any confusion, but the blog post you’re referring to was made March 15, 2005. I haven’t followed the contest since then, so I can’t discuss any rules pertaining to it (or, for that matter, whether such a contest is still taking place).

this post is as of March the 26th and it says that they aren’t taking any more pictures, well they should change from saying that the contest ends in May because evidentally it is already over…. oh well guess I’ll just have to leave this just for the neighbors to see as they ride by daily…that’s ok cause I think they like it the way they are always staring..

You know when you have a redneck backyard when you still have taillights. Get it (motor home).
