Tree Selection
Tuesday May 24, 2005
Early spring and late fall are good times to plant trees. Right now, we're in an in-between period, so it's not an ideal time to plant. Rather, a more productive use of your time right now is to do your tree-selection homework. That includes Web research, reading books, poking around at nurseries and seeing what trees others are growing. Hopefully, by the time fall comes, bringing cooler temperatures that are friendly to new plantings, you'll know exactly what you want. Steve Jones, the Plant Man, helps you with your homework in this piece on tree selection.
