Dividing Bearded Iris Plants

Dividing bearded iris plants will promote better blooming. "If left undivided, the flowering will decrease and the rhizome will be subject to more pests and damage," advises Marie Iannotti. About's Gardening Guide informs us, "You can divide bearded iris anytime after flowering through August," so it's still not too late for dividing bearded iris plants.
