Gothic Landscaping With Weeping Trees
Monday October 24, 2005
Lots of people like to decorate their landscaping for Halloween.
But then there are some hardcore folks who go beyond that. They are Gothic landscaping enthusiasts....
They're always looking for plants to give their yards that creepy, Addams Family feel. Weeping trees can fill the bill, with a branching habit evoking images of Cousin Itt. Another candidate for Gothic landscaping is the twisted little tree pictured on your right, courtesy of the Missouri Botanical Garden -- Harry Lauder's Walking Stick (Corylus avellana 'Contorta'). Looks like a rather tormented soul, wouldn't you say?
