Pre-Emergent Herbicides

Sunday April 30, 2006
This week's featured poster in the Landscaping Forum presents a common problem: "We built a new house last year and spent most of last spring and summer landscaping, planting grass and putting in flower beds and so far about 20 trees.... What I didn't realize was that the whirly seeds that come from the neighbor's maple tree are now sprouting everywhere!" So what can be done about those annoying maple seedlings? Well, it's too late this year, but one option (for the chemically-inclined) in the future is to use pre-emergent herbicides.
