bumblebee pictureYou've probably often heard talk of "beneficial insects." But exactly which insects are beneficial to your plants, and what do they look like? The University of Maine's Cooperative Extension provides some handy photos of beneficial insects to help you identify some of the predatory insects that will rid your garden of "bad bugs." Of course, pollinating insects, such as the bumblebee pictured at left, are also considered beneficial insects.
