Ideas for Outdoor Kitchens
Tuesday May 30, 2006
"Few summer pleasures are as much fun as a cookout," begins this piece, an article full of ideas for outdoor kitchens by Fran J. Donegan of "This Old House." Donegan goes on to point out what is not so pleasurable about cookouts without outdoor kitchens: "running back and forth between the grill and the kitchen," plus the fact that "when everybody's done, all the leftovers must be lugged back inside." Sound all too familiar? This article has the solution, discussing everything from planning the space to selecting grills for outdoor kitchens.

your outdoor kitchen pictures are too small to see!
Thank you for your comment. However, those aren’t my photos, nor is that my article. The work in question belongs to Fran Donelan of This Old House. I merely linked to it.

Thanks, Jackie. I just updated the link: it should work now.
I have just replaced an old deck with pressure-treated pine.
I hear conflicting ideas about sealing, staining, and various other terminologies relating to preserving the wood.
Also, I am in Texas where the temp is now> 100*. Some products specify not using above 90*
I’d appreciate any advice you might have on the matter.
Thanks,
Vince
