Cat Repellents

Saturday June 17, 2006

Landscaping with cats is about more than just growing catnip plants. I am often asked by readers about cat repellents and how to keep cats away from the garden. Their concern is readily understandable and has nothing to do with whether or not one likes cats. Rather, it is an issue of sanitation and of being able to enjoy your landscape to the fullest.

In this article, I consider several cat-control approaches. Broadly speaking, we can label all of these diverse approaches as "cat repellents," since they are all designed to repel unwanted feline intruders from a specific area. Cats are unpredictable, so you may end up trying all these methods to see which one works for you!
