Moonbeam Coreopsis Plants

Saturday September 16, 2006
photo of moonbeam coreopsis flowersDo you ever wonder why sometimes the common names of plants catch on, while, other times, scientific plant names rule the day? Coreopsis is a scientific plant name, the common equivalent for which is "tickseed." But let's face it: ticks aren't exactly cuddly creatures, so "tickseed" as a name had one strike against it, immediately. Add to that the more recent concerns about Lyme disease, which is spread by deer ticks, and it's easy to see why Coreopsis won out. But regardless of what you call them, find out why Moonbeam coreopsis plants are real winners for your landscape design.
