One further consideration when it comes to patio furniture is how you plan to arrange it. Depending on the style of your home and the style of your furniture, different shape patterns can be very appealing. With contemporary lawn and patio furniture, for example, you may want to try a linear and symmetrical arrangement. More traditional furniture can support more free-flowing arrangements and diagonal lines.

I find that one of the most telling questions you need to ask yourself about patio furniture is “What material will it be made from?”. Traditionally, wood is used but with most wood for furniture coming from non-sustainable sources, it makes sense to use something different, either wood from a sustainable forest, or something like Polywood, which is made from recycled milk jugs, and is more durable and easier to clean than wood.
