Companion Planting and the First Thanksgiving

Many books have been written on the subject of companion planting, the technique of grouping plants that benefit each other. But centuries before those books were written, the Iroquois and other pre-Columbian denizens of North America were practicing a version of companion planting. The vegetables harvested from their garden plants helped make the first Thanksgiving possible.
