Seeds as Gifts

Friday December 21, 2007
Seeds as gifts? It may sound like a strange idea, at first. And plant seeds certainly wouldn't satisfy the Christmas cravings of the hard-core materialists on your shopping list. However, as Marie Iannotti suggests, if you've saved seeds from a garden plant that your gardening buddies made a point of praising this summer, such seeds could be a very thoughtful gift for them. Besides, you don't just unceremoniously dump a fistful of seeds into their hands! About's Gardening Guide shows you how to turn seeds into a tasteful gift, providing instructions for making up your own seed packets. Thoughtful, tasteful, inexpensive -- how can you beat that for a gift?
