Weak Tree Branches Revisited
Sunday January 27, 2008
We had a January thaw earlier this month in my neck of the woods, and in a recent blog post
I mentioned how I took advantage of it by doing some cleanup. Most notably, I cleaned up the weak tree branches of the Eastern white pine trees that had come tumbling down earlier this winter in an ice storm. Well, shortly thereafter, my region was blanketed in wet, heavy snow and -- you guessed it -- more carnage! Several more weak tree branches on the same trees succumbed to the weight of the snow. I know what I'll be doing during the next warm spell.
