Apple Tree Pruning
Friday February 15, 2008
"Most fruit trees should be pruned while they are dormant. Unfortunately that's also the time most gardeners would prefer to be hibernating indoors; which would explain why there are so many overgrown, under-productive apple trees out there," says Marie Iannotti. I don't care for hibernating indoors, myself, but I do admit to being guilty of neglecting yard work in winter. I'll brave the fiercest blizzards to go out for a walk in the woods. But I don't much care for going out to the shed to find a pair of pruners for apple tree pruning -- or any kind of pruning, really. But if you're better about winter yard work than I am, you may find these apple tree pruning tips useful.
