Pictures of Foundation Plantings

Saturday May 3, 2008
Beds of shrubs near a home can add much to the overall look of your property, as I show in these pictures of foundation plantings. Here are some examples of the role played by foundation plantings:
  • To obscure raised house foundations
  • To obscure unsightly pipes or electrical boxes
  • To soften the hard lines of a house
  • To anchor newly-built homes (with little else in the way of landcaping) more firmly into their surroundings
  • To promote energy efficiency
Need some ideas for shrubbery selection and arrangement? Browse my pictures of foundation plantings, in which I discuss a number of options.
