Solomon's Seal Plants

Friday May 23, 2008
Solomon’s Seal plants are North American natives -- I see them all the time out in the New England woods. Marie Iannotti notes that Solomon’s Seal plants pair well with many shade garden plants, including:
  • Siberian bugloss
  • Cranesbill geranium
  • Bleeding hearts
  • Barrenwort
  • Ferns
  • Hellebore
  • Coral bells
  • Foamflower
When About's Gardening Guide adds that Solomon's Seal plants are "virtually maintenance free," it's easy to see why they're a wise choice for a woodland garden.
