As to dog urine yellow spots on the lawn, don’t just water the spot down; water it down with sugar water. It supposedly counteracts the ammonia in the urine. I have been doing it for a couple of summers now, and although the results are not immediate, they are readily apparent within a couple of mowing cycles!
