Book on Attracting Wildlife to the Landscape

Monday November 24, 2008
Seeking a gift for a lover of plants and wildlife? Consider Janet Marinelli's useful book, The Wildlife Gardener's Guide. The reader is told at the outset that this book differs in two important ways from similar books:
  1. Its advice is specific, rather than dealing with generalities like, "Reduce the size of your lawn."
  2. Plant lists are provided for different regions, so you don't have to guess about the suitability of a plant for your climate.
The Wildlife Gardener's Guide restricts its plant recommendations to plants native to North America, making it of interest to that continent's native plant enthusiasts, too. Ten wildlife garden projects form the core of this handy reference.
