Korean Spice Viburnum Shrubs

Saturday April 11, 2009
Novices to landscaping may be confused by the name "Korean spice viburnum." So if you've avoided the plant due to a lack of interest in cooking with Korean spices, it may be time to take a closer look at this versatile landscaping shrub. The "spice" in its name has nothing to do with your taste buds and everything to do with another of your senses: smell.

For the blossoms of Korean spice viburnum spray the spring yard with a spicy aroma that places them among the landscape's most fragrant flowers. White with a tinge of pink, the flowers grow in clusters that are also quite attractive.

Oh, and for good measure, Korean spice viburnum offers colorful fall foliage. What's not to like?
