Pictures of White Flowers

Sunday April 12, 2009

Being of a neutral color, white flowers are useful in landscape design, as they allow for transition between stronger hues. White flowers will, of course, combine well with blooms of any other color. And white flowers set off so-called "black flowers" very nicely.

Despite all that (and more), it's sometimes easy to overlook plants with white flowers at the nursery; the plant shopper's eye is more likely to be caught by just about any other color. Rarely will you hear someone say that white is their favorite color, after all (whether in the landscape or elsewhere). But think about it, objectively: couldn't you use a few more white flowers to brighten up this or that corner of your yard? If so, use my pictures of white flowers for help in making a selection.
