Why attend the 2009 Ohio Gourd Show? Well, anyone who enjoys plants, crafts and fall yard decorations simply must grow hard-shell gourds.
If you're unfamiliar with hard-shell gourds, let me tell you right now: they will amaze you once you learn about them! The jack-o'-lantern pictured at right may look like a pumpkin, but he's not: he's a dried hard-shell gourd and will never rot! To learn more about hard-shell gourds -- and have a fun time to boot -- you may wish to visit the 2009 Ohio Gourd Show. We have a local “pumpkin patch” and nursery in the next county over from us.It has a garden center,pumpkin and gourd patch as well as the most beautiful landscape trees and fern.We have an online nursery, and i’d love to get into the “fall spirit” by starting the pumpkin growing.
