Holiday Ideas From Around About.com

Follow me on:

As a continuation of my prior post, today I'm presenting further holiday ideas from around the About.com network. The framework is based loosely on the theme of "The Twelve Days of Christmas," even though, technically, that period begins with Christmas, rather than ending with it. I guess the fast pace of modern life (to say nothing of commercialism) has conditioned us to be impatient. I know I have my own Christmas shopping out of the way (do you?).

Tonya Lee has a series of tips worth checking out over at About Budget Decorating. The piece on Alternative Christmas Trees is especially interesting.

Susan Adcox is our Grandparents Guide. Her blog post today is all about charitable giving. Meanwhile, since charity begins at home, Sheri & Bob Stritof, our About.com Guides to Marriage, offer ideas on showing generosity toward your spouse in their piece, The Twelve Days of Christmas for Lovers. As an alternative to buying 12 gifts for your spouse (that's way too much shopping for me!), they suggest giving "gifts" of a more personal nature.

Elizabeth Larkin, About.com Guide to Personal Organizing, presents a more organized list of contributions from around the Home and Garden portion of the network.
