It's time for you, once again, to pick your own favorites from my list of late June and early July standouts.
There's something on this list for everyone, whether you're keen on shrubs, perennials or ground covers.
Which plant or plants will you deem most deserving of your vote this month? Will you select a flashy butterfly magnet such as bee balm or a stately perennial like delphinium? Classic summer shrubs like roses or hydrangeas, or a fragrant lily such as "Easter" lily?
But without further ado, here are my own picks:
- Roses
- Easter lily
- 'Flamingo' Japanese willow
- Crocosmia (picture)
- Butterfly bush
- 'Angelina' sedum
- Speedwell
- Bee balm
- Butterfly weed
- Delphinium
- Hydrangeas
How about you? Vote in my poll below and let us know what plants are shining most brightly in your own yard right now. Or to mention a specific plant I didn't include in the poll, tell us about it in my forum.
