A nor'easter is pummeling me right now here in New England (or so the newscasters tell me; I can't honestly say that I'm feeling "pummeled"), so I'm temporarily refocusing my attention from Valentine's Day and the march toward spring to snow removal. If you, too are thinking about snow today, you may wish to take a peek at my tips on how to shovel snow.
Perhaps you're thinking to yourself: "Hey, I already know how to shovel snow. What could you possibly tell me that I don't already know?" It's a fair question. But as is often the case in life, it comes down to the little things. If you get the little things wrong, they can add up and kill you. But if you get them right, it's smooth sailing.
So if you're fairly new to shoveling snow, isn't it just possible that there's some aspect of this chore that you've overlooked? As for the rest of you, don't believe the hype about not being able to teach an old dog new tricks. The inquisitive mind never stops learning.
