Fall Foliage Pictures

Follow me on:

My fall foliage pictures are, among other things, a tribute to the region in which I live: New England (U.S.). photo of sugar maple treeConsidering that New England's glory season doesn't last long, it's only fitting that I should brag a bit, while it lasts....

Once the winter solstice arrives, the days will become so short that daylight will be valued as a precious commodity. If one could buy it (as one buys commodities such as gold), I would become a daylight hoarder. During December and January, I sometimes wonder why I would choose to continue living in such a cold, gray region. While denizens of warmer climes are enjoying palm trees and the like, I have all I can do to keep from slipping on the ice when I'm taking a short stroll.

So those of you who live where fall foliage isn't a big deal will excuse me if I bask a bit here in the glory of New England's fall foliage season. And if you do live in a region conducive to fall foliage viewing, use my fall foliage pictures as motivation for increasing the fall color potential of your own yard. By selecting the right trees, you can turn your landscape into a fall color bonanza. Of course, no other trees are as intimately associated with autumn and its color display as are maple trees....
