Mountain Laurel

When people talk about "laurel," laurel picturethey're usually referring to bay laurel. Bay laurel is much celebrated in european history and literature. But there is another laurel -- mountain laurel. Native to North America, mountain laurel shrubs needn't take a back seat to their European namesakes when it comes to landscaping.
