Wildflower Identification: Name That Wildflower!
Monday September 29, 2003
Life is full of coincidences.
I was reminded of that again when I pulled up one of my wildflower photos this morning to use as entry #5 in this wildflower identification series....
To my surprise, a poster in the Discussion Forum had just posted a picture (and the correct identification) of this very wildflower! And it's an odd-looking wildflower to boot, not something like goldenrod or Queen Anne's lace that a lot of people would likely be thinking about at the same time. Even though it is its fruit that is displayed most prominently in the accompanying photo, the plant does produce a mass of smallish white flowers (some of which are visible in the photo on your right).... Anyhow, do you know what this plant is called? Check your answer by reading the poster's wildflower identification message in the Landscaping Discussion Forum.
