In the North we're entering upon a season during which there will be few signs of life out in the yard for a while. These can be depressing times for plant-lovers. Fortunately, the calendar is studded with celebrations for the next several months that afford an opportunity for sending holiday plants to loved ones. Holiday plants bring us bundles of botanical life when we're most desperate to see it! If you have relatives who always send you the same tired gifts, it may be time to put the proverbial "bug" in their ears: Send me holiday plants, instead! Or you may be content to take matters into your own hands and decorate your winter home with evergreens such as the mysterious and mirthful mistletoe.
