Transplanting Landscape Plants in Summer

I enjoy reading articles like this piece on transplanting landscape plants
in summer by Marie Iannotti. It's easy to remind readers of the rule that transplanting landscape plants should be restricted to spring and fall. Other such maxims abound in gardening and landscaping, such as, "Mow lawns only in the morning or evening." Unfortunately, life isn't always so neat and tidy. My personal schedule and habits may put me at odds with this or that maxim, regardless of the wisdom behind it. But these tips from About's Gardening Guide on transplanting landscape plants in summer show us how to break a "rule" and (hopefully) get away with it!
