"Holiday Trees" vs. "Christmas Trees" Debate

Thursday December 14, 2006
You can't count on a white Christmas every year, even if you live in a cold climate: Old Man Winter will snow on us only when (and if) he's good and ready. But what you can count on every year now at this time is the continuation of a great debate. I'm referring to that debate over names: when displayed in public, should those pyramidal evergreens decorated with lights, tinsel and other festive ornaments be called, "holiday trees" or "Christmas trees?" Steve Nix recently blogged about this issue, inviting you to visit his About Forestry Forum and make yourself heard in the holiday trees vs Christmas trees debate.
