Mugo Pine Trees

Not all mugo pine trees are created equal. People sometimes plant mugo pines under the false assumption that they're all dwarfs and end up with plants too big for the space in which they're growing. While disappointing, this turn of events is rarely disastrous, due to the slow growth rate of mugo pine trees. Still, if you're looking for dwarf mugo pines and wish to truly "get it right," select a cultivar such as 'Mops.'
