Indigenous Plants

Definition: Indigenous plants are plants native to the locale in question. Indigenous plants are sometimes allowed to co-exist with lawn grass, ground covers, or garden plants, especially if they are not invasive. Indeed, some landscaping themes favor indigenous plants, as in wildflower gardens.
