Pink Phlox Subulata

Phlox subulata is a popular ground cover. I think it looks best spilling down an incline, where the angle is just right for the eye to take in its masses of colorful blossoms in the springtime. It won't offer much visual interest during the other three seasons of the year, but its root system will help prevent erosion on mild inclines.
