Q. You've spoken of concrete as a driveway material. So what's a "cement" driveway?

A.

Concrete is a mixture, composed of sand, aggregate and cement. Cement is the binding agent, acting to hold it all together once water is added. People sometimes speak of "cement driveways" to refer to driveways composed of this mixture. But cement driveways are, more properly speaking, concrete structures. Thus "concrete driveways" and "cement driveways" are synonymous.
