Fence Pictures: Flat-Top Picket Fences

The picket fence in this landscaping photo does, at least, have one feature to offer some visual interest: namely, it is scalloped. "Scalloping" means the tops of the boards along a fence form a gentle arc. The scalloping can be either concave (i.e., dipping down in the middle), as here, or convex.
