Reader Stories: Plant of the Month for March

What is the top plant for the month of March, in your opinion? I mean the plant in your yard (or in a park, the woods or your neighbor's yard) in March that is most special to you, that most excites you or fascinates you. Since we live in different regions and have different interests and idiosyncrasies, I expect the answers to this question to vary greatly. For example, if you live where it's warm, your yard may already be basking in the brilliance of numerous blooms; while, if you live where it's cold, you may be delighted just to see the first shoots of spring pushing up through the ground.
